More Info:

Two CD set. The Flying Burrito Bros are an American country rock band, best known for their influential 1969 debut album, The Gilded Palace of Sin. With that album they forged the connection between rock and country, and virtually invented the blueprint for country-rock. Although the group is perhaps best known for it's connection to band founders Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman (formerly of The Byrds), the group underwent many personnel changes and has existed in various incarnations. The group disbanded in 1972 but original members Chris Ethridge (bass and keyboards) and pedal steel guitarist Sneaky Pete Kleinow assembled a line-up for Flying Again in 1974 that included former Canned Heat guitarist Joel Scott Hill and erstwhile Byrd multi-instrumentalist Gene Parsons. Ethridge was replaced by Byrds alumnus Skip Battin for the follow up album Airborne two years later. Both albums appear on this 2 CD set at mid-price. A line-up with no original members (and derived from the 2000s-era Burrito Deluxe) currently performs as The Burrito Brothers.
